From the inception of Apex Fitness Systems in 2012 the vision was to operate our own fully equipped state of the art facility from where the full range of skills and services that we offer could be maximised
The range of people and services that the facility caters for is wide ranging, this includes but is not limited to:
Personal training for sports specific performance
Personal training for individual aesethic goals (body recomposition)
Individuals following tailored workout programs defined by their goals and monitored by expert coaches
General Gym usage either class based or individual gym usage of cardio and weight training areas.
Anyone ! The Apex fitness systems team of coaches exclusively use the facility to conduct their personal coaching and group sessions but the facility is also open to anyone to use on a pay as you go or Monthly membership package. We have ensured that the facility is accessible to anyone at any point in their fitness journey. Whether you be a complete beginner, a seasoned trainer, a professional athlete or somewhere in between our community, equipment and training ethos will suit you and you will be welcome, encouraged and motivated to get involved.

Cardiovascular Performance
We have sourced an effective variety of cardiovascular machines that enable a cross section of steady, medium and High intensity cardiovascular training to be undertaken whatever your training requirements.
Machine Based Weight Training
Weight training machines are a staple in all gym environments . We have sourced a full spectrum of cable and plate loaded machines that enable an effective total body workout and these suit the whole range of gym members from athlete to general gym goer nothing has been missed and a full workout is guaranteed.
Free Weight Training
With no less than 25 olympic and speciality bars, multiple power racks, a wide array of weight plates and a dedicated open lifting area no free weight activity goes missed. We have dumbbell paris from 2.5kg – 60kg and kettle bell pairs from 4kg to 44kg so whatever your requirements we have it covered.
Functional and Non Traditional Conditioning
Something a little different to the more traditional cardio outputs whilst also bringing extra benefits to power and strength development. The equipment is once again wide ranging, adaptive and extremely effective and is sure to take your workouts to the next level.
Stretching and Mobility
Stretching and mobility is absolutely vital to training progress and the well being of an athletes body. We have a dedicated floor space where this can be carried out with a wide range of equipment to help you maximise the benefits of this often overlooked aspect of training.

Building a strong, effective and motivated gym community is something that we are passionate about at AFS-HQ . While anyone can join us and train to their own beat there is large group of people who either enjoy the class environment or just want to learn the fundamentals

Our Pricing structure is simple and we believe excellent value,
Full Unlimited Membership – £39 per month
- Full usage of the gym from 09:30-13:00 and 16:30-20:30 Monday to Friday and
09:00-13:00 Saturday
- Full access to all morning and evening classes – 48 classes per month
- Full usage of staffed childrens play area – 10:00-11:00 (Mon – Fri)
- Children welcome to use childrens play area outside of staffed time mornings and evenings (parents responsibility)
If you would rather attend on a pay as you go basis all single time gym usage or single class cost is £8 per session, children play area usage is free.
NB: All NHS, police, fireservice and ambulance service staff are subject to a 10% discount.
We understand that young children have to be a consideration when you are entering into any kind of gym program. We have worked hard to build a strong gym community for individuals and families alike. Our children’s play area is great for kids and is equipped with toys, movies games and a whole lot more. The area is in full view of the gym so parents can train while also keeping an eye on their children and children can play while also keeping an eye on their parents. The area is staffed for every 10am class so parents can relax whilst their children are entertained and even when the area is not staffed members are welcome to allow their children to play while they use the gym. This service is completely free of charge.
CLasses at Apex HQ
This is a non contact class focusing on pad and bag work. It brings together techniques from boxing and kickboxing and combines them with bodyweight exercises to form a high intensity but fun workout suitable for everyone.
High intensity 45 minute workout to an energetic soundtrack utilising a medicine ball along with bodyweight movements, intervals, plyometrics and everything in between. Orbfit provides a significant calorie burn, improves your endurance and is a staple of anyone looking for that superhuman status.
Our weighted workouts provide 2 days of lifting with each session providing a different focus , one upper body and one lower body. These classes work in 4 week cycles and will provide a great grounding in the fundamentals of weight lifting whilst serving to support all of your other fitness endeavors
This workout focuses on building the core and glutes
This class combines strength and speed with the end result being power and a guaranteed workout. Total body movements focused around the Olympic bars, dumbbells and plyometrics will forge a metabolic furnace and accelerate your performance and fitness to the very next level.
Using all of the equipment the gym has to offer this circuit based class will leave no body part unworked and no questions will be asked as to its effectiveness. A truly superhuman effort is required and superhuman results will follow.
This class will provide a mixture of weighted, bodyweight and partner workouts, while also specifically focusing on core exercises. The session will often incorporate a tough and challenging finisher along with some fun and games so whether you’re banking calories or need to unload the stresses of the work week come and kick your weekend off in style.
