1:1 Personal training
Personal Training with Apex is all about helping you reach your goals. The gym can be a confusing place, as a beginner just trying to navigate around the machines and the un-solicited advice can be a minefield! Even as you become more advanced continuing to make progress once you’ve used up the ‘beginner gains’ is often a tough task.
Personal Training gives you a clear direction in your training, and having a coach with you every step of the way ensures the very best results, safety and progress. No cookie cutter programs or one size fits all approach, our coaches really get to know you and tailor the experience completely to you.
As a personal training client you will follow 3 distinct phases in order to ensure the best possible results.
1 – Free Initial Consultation
We’ll meet initially for a chat to discuss your goals, current training and previous training history. This provides you a great opportunity to explain to us exactly what you’d like to achieve and why. During the consultation we will discuss all of the available training options, answer any questions and formulate a plan together to take you from where you are right now to where you want to be.
2 – Initial Movement Assessment
Once our initial consultation is completed then we will perform an initial, movement assessment.
During this session we will take a look at some key exercise movements, and get you familiar with the gym set up. This is an opportunity to start to feel more comfortable within the gym itself and will allow your coach to more accurately tailor your training program to you and your goals.
3 – We Coach you through the Program
Once we have your bespoke training program in place, we will be with you every step of the way.
Your PT will meet you in the gym for your training sessions and coach you through the process. They will help you develop technique, make sure you’re working at the appropriate intensity and keep you motivated. Having a coach in your corner means you’re leaving nothing to chance and ensuring you get the expert advice and guidance every time you step in the gym.

Nutrition coaching
Have you tried all the popular diets under the sun, only to be left feeling frustrated and further away from your goals than ever before? The diet industry is a multi billion dollar per year industry, yet the majority of people still feel confused about the fundamentals of healthy eating, and lack the direction and guidance needed to reach their goals.
Nutrition coaching removes the confusion and provides the direction. I work with you one to one to create an individualised nutrition program that’s easy to follow, includes the foods you love, and gives you the structure, education and accountability needed to reach your goal.
As a client of Apex, we will move you through 3 distinct phases in order to help you improve your diet and reach your desired goals:
1 – Free Initial Consultation
We’ll meet initially for a chat to discuss your goals, current diet and previous dietary history. This provides you a great opportunity to let us know exactly what you want to get out of working with me. During the consultation we will run you through a body composition analysis ( weight, body fat levels, muscle mass levels) to assess your current starting point, and then take a deeper look at your diet and individual situation with a few assessment forms to be completed after consultation.
2 – Design you an individually tailored nutrition program
Once we have your assessment forms back, we will then design you an individually tailored nutrition program. This will provide you clear direction, guiding you through everything from how many calories you should be consuming, and where those calories should come from. You’ll have a structure laid out for you to follow spanning the entire week, with meal ideas, recipes and examples of your favourite foods all included.
The program is designed to be entirely flexible, it is NOT a strict meal plan. Meals out with friends, drinks on the weekend, these are all parts of life you need to learn how to manage for long-term sustainability. Instead of cutting them out, let us show you how to factor them in.
3 – I coach you through the program
Once we have the program in place, we’ll meet every 2 weeks for a check in where we’ll discuss how everything is going and check progress. This provides 2 important elements for you. The first is accountability and motivation. Checking back with us means you’re accountable to me to stay on track, and motivated to see the changes in your health and body each week. The second is feedback and adjustments. It will allow us to see what’s working best with the program, and what might need to be adjusted leading into the weeks ahead.
This coaching process is what separates this from just a ‘diet plan’. Our goal is to not only get you the results you want, but provide you the tools to KEEP those results in the long run.
